Detail: Ukiyo is a spiritual word in Japanese and pertains to floating on a higher plane, back here on Earth it resonates with care free and even hedonistic notions.
The idea for Ukiyo Bar began as a response to the lack of entertainment choices in our capital city. Our response was to create a place that would serve customers what they wanted when they wanted it. So we designed a menu which is healthy, wholesome and reasonably priced, we have strived to make the dining room and karaoke boxes as comfortable as possible and our music policy is laid back and soulful. We open late at the weekend and our kitchen close at 11pm at the weekend serving the very best in Japanese and Korean cuisine.
The idea being that one can come in for dinner, avail of the private air-conditioned karaoke boxes after your meal and then finish off the night upstairs in the bar where we host some of the best club nights in Dublin.
