This excellent restaurant is a great find. Just open a few weeks and very central in Dame St. Most importantly the food is really exceptionally good. Even the pre-starter nibbles are on a different level than most Indian restaurants. Service was professional and genuinely friendly, wines reasonable (house €19.50 and good selection starting slightly higher). We skipped dessert but had a real cup of coffee (so hard to get in many Irish restaurants) which was served with a bisquit, followed by complimentary drinks and chocs with the bill. These little touches make all the difference. Will definitely be back.

I have eaten there 7 times over the past few months, most recently two weeks ago. The food is very good, especially the mains, good and subtle use of spices, not totally dependant on hot spices for flavour because mild dishes have a good distinctive taste. Portion size is not large, maybe not enough for hungry men, but for health reasons perhaps we should be looking for supersize portions. Waiting staff are welcoming and attentive and recognise returning diners . Wine list limited but all wines are reasonably priced. Dining room is very clean, linen tablecloths, maybe a little too bright. The main negative point is that there are usually not very many tables occupied and consequently lacking in atmosphere.
