Detail: Florence and the Machine return to Dublin this May to open the Cosmic Love tour with two special shows at the Olympia Theatre on Sunday the 2nd and Monday the 3rd of May. Tickets will be on sale from Friday the 29th of January through ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide. 700,000 albums, three Meteor Ireland Music Awards nominations, three Brit nominations, one #1 debut album and numerous brilliant sold out shows later, Florence and her mighty machine look set to surpass their outstanding 2009 achievements already, in 2010.
After a productive stint in the studio early in the year, Florence has set off on a jaunt across the globe to Australia, Japan and back to Europe on tour over the coming months.
She’ll be back in town briefly to perform her ‘You Got The Dirtee Love’ duet with Dizzee Rascal at the Brits on February 16 (and hopefully sweeping the board for Best Female, Best Album & Breakthrough Artist) and will also perform at this years Meteor Ireland Music Awards where she is nominated for Best International Band, Best International Album and Best International Live Performance.
Spring will bear witness to the release of the massive ‘Dog Days Are Over’ in March (already #11 in the itunes chart), more American shows, Miami Winter Music Conference, Coachella and back home for her Cosmic Love Tour in May.
